Ms. Alysa has been teaching dance for over 25 years. She has danced, choreographed and taught at various dance studios throughout Southern California. She has taught Ballet, Contemporary, Modern, Lyrical, Jazz, Tap and Hip-Hop throughout her years of teaching, but classical Ballet has always been her forte since a young age.
Ms. Alysa’s master ballet training was dancing at Westside Ballet in Santa Monica, Riverside Ballet Arts and Chicago Ballet. Training in the different ballet methods of Royal Academy, Balanchine and Russian, she started dancing on pointe at the age of 11, and continues to show her pointe classes the proper technique for a beautiful pointe dancer. In her younger years, at UCLA and Cal State Fullerton, she was a chosen dancer for student dance choreographers and performed various dance pieces in their showcases.
Ms. Alysa enjoys teaching dancers to perform in various dance styles. Her favorite being ” The Nutcracker” ballet. She has performed, choreographed, directed and taught for a multitude of Nutcracker ballet performances during all her years of dancing. She has danced nearly every
role from a Mother Ginger to Sugar Plum Fairy. She strives to give dancers the self confidence and technical skills to achieve their goals and promote their love of dance.
